Charles Ervin Stack Charles Ervin Stack of Mexico, Missouri, was born in Cuba, Missouri on January 13, 1943 to Charles M. and Julia M. (Guidicini) Stack and passed away December 16, 2009 at the age of 66 years. On October 26, 1968 he was united in marriage to Norma J. (Lanich) Stack. He attended Blue Springs, a one-room school through eighth grade. He transferred and graduated from St. James High School. He then attended Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (UMR or Missouri School of Science and Technology). He graduated with a bachelor degree in geology. In the early 80’s he was awarded an advanced honorary degree. Chuck served in the Army Corps of Engineers. After service he went to work for A.P. Green. He began as their junior geologist and at his retirement in 2000 he was Chief Geologist. He enjoyed turkey hunting, traveling and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia Stack. He is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Martin Lee Stack and wife Michelle of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Christina Unger and husband Brian of Mexico, Missouri; grandchildren, Gabi and Shelby Stack of Dallas, Texas and Emma, Jackson and Chase Unger of Mexico, Missouri; two sisters, Sandra Bax and husband Ted of Columbia, South Carolina and Doreen Marcum and husband Mark of Tazwell, Tennessee; three brothers, Dennis Stack and friend Carol of St. Louis, Missouri, Dwight Stack and wife Cindy of St. James, Missouri and Irvin (Corky) Stack and wife Kathy of St. James, Missouri; brother-in-law, Edward Lanich of Blountstown, Florida; other relatives and friends. Visitation was Friday, December 18, 2009 at Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico, Missouri Funeral Mass was at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico, Missouri with Reverend John J. Schmitz officiating. Arrangements under the direction of the Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico, Missouri.
