School district receives good audit report

    The St. James School District has received a clean audit of last year’s finances. Joe Leathers, CPA, conducted the audit and reported his findings to the Board of Education on Thursday night.
    “As of June 30, no qualifications were reported. It was a clean opinion of what was reported,” Leathers told the board.

State auditor releases follow-up report on Bourbon court audit

    Missouri State Auditor Thomas Schweich has released his follow-up report on the audit findings of the City of Bourbon’s municipal court system. The follow-up report was recently made public, and in it the state auditor notes that many of the recommendations made in the original May 2014 audit report have been implemented by the city. The rest are still “in progress.”

Deadline nearing for Vietnam Monument donations
