Missouri Community Betterment (MCB) judges visited Steelville on Monday, September 8, as part of the annual awards competition for the current year (July 2013 to July 2014). This visit allows community members to showcase the projects that have been accomplished this past year and submitted for consideration for this year’s awards.
Local emergency responders initiated a search for a missing 12-year-old boy on Sunday, September 7 near the 10000 block of County Road 3470 after a missing person call was received. Reported missing was St. James boy who had been last seen playing outside near a family residence. The boy was reported missing at approximately 7:38 p.m.
