With the change to Daylight Savings Time, the Steelville Fire Protection District reminds residents to change the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in their residences to ensure the devices are working properly. Using the spring and fall time changes as a reminder to change the batteries and test the detectors is important in reducing the chances of a life-threatening fire.
Contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will replace the pavement along the eastbound lanes of I-44 between Route 63 and Vichy Road in Rolla.
