A strong squall line brought high winds, heavy rain, hail and lightning to the Crawford Electric service area last night (Wednesday, April 10, 2013). In the wake of the early evening storm, more than 3,000 co-op members were left without power. Crawford Electric linemen worked overnight and brought power back to almost 2,000 accounts. Additional crews have been called in today (Thursday) to continue non-stop restoration efforts. Heavy damage has been reported.
