Jury deliberates just 28 minutes before finding man not guilty of murder

    Brian McBenge was acquitted of murder charges in Steelville on Tuesday, May 12 after the jury deliberated for just 28 minutes on the case. Court records show that the jury retired to consider a verdict at 2:38 p.m. and at 3:06 p.m., the bailiff announced they had done so. He was found not guilty of both charges against him.
