Missouri’s Innovation Campus initiative earns more national recognition with presidential visit

President Obama calls program connecting students with careers in high-demand fields and cutting the time it takes to earn a degree a “recipe for success”
WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today welcomed President Barack Obama to the University of Central Missouri, home to the Missouri Innovation Campus. Gov. Nixon launched the Innovation Campus initiative in 2012 to train students for careers in high-demand fields, cut the time it takes to earn a college degree, and reduce student debt.  In his speech, the President called the Missouri Innovation Campus a “recipe for success over the long term.”
