Leasburg may see increased police presence

    At the July meeting of the Leasburg board of trustees, Officer James Newcomb presented a plan to enlist the aid of reservists to build the police presence in Leasburg. According to Newcomb, the reservists would work as volunteers and the only cost to the city would be for insurance. The insurance rates were quoted as around $300 per officer per year, which would be prorated into monthly payments.
