Teal limit increased as season looks fantastic

Waterfowl hunters received a special treat recently when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced an increase in the teal limit from four to six during the early September season. The four-bird limit has been in effect since the September teal-only season was created in 1965. The recommendation received unanimous support from the nation’s four Flyway Councils, groups of state waterfowl scientists and managers who develop and offer their waterfowl management plans for consideration by the federal agency, which has the final say over rues and regulations for migratory game birds.
