Christmas parade, craft fair are coming to St. James on Saturday

This Saturday marks the return of the annual Christmas Parade to downtown St. James. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. starting at the Missouri Veterans Home and traveling to the John F. Hodge High School. Bands, floats, and Santa will be participating in a “Christmas Characters” theme.

Prior to the parade, Santa and his elves will be at the Walker Pavilion across from Perkins Lumber Company from noon to 4 p.m. In the event of bad weather, Santa will be stationed at the Train Depot to be sure everyone has a chance to meet him.
The PTO will be hosting a craft bazaar at the high school throughout the day at Lucy Wortham James Elementary School. More than 70 craft vendors will be offering their goods from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and it will be a great opportunity for Christmas shopping.
Floats and participants are still being accepted for the parade. Applications are available at the St. James Chamber and Tourist Center for anyone wanting to sign up. Lineup for the parade will begin at 4 p.m.
