Opening Day at the Lady Wildcat softball field went pretty much according to plan, as the Lady Cats took advantage of a weaker New Haven team and pounded them into submission in a 19-4, four-inning game.

The 2014 Steelville High School softball season officially gets under way Saturday with the Lady Cardinals in action at the New Haven Softball Classic. This year’s team has a much different look that the 2013 squad with a new coaching staff and an influx of freshmen.
With a lot of varsity experience returning from a season in which they were the Gasconade Valley Conference champions, there are big expectations for the Steelville High School volleyball team this fall. The squad has an all-new coaching staff, but also boasts a solid group of juniors and seniors who will anchor the varsity team.

St. James Tigers wrestlers took second and third places in the Show-Me State Games recently. Five Tigers and Coach Marty Hauck traveled to Columbia and competed at the Hearnes Center on Saturday, July 19.
