Catch crappie and watch birds

    Crappie fishing is the simplest kind of fishing you can do, and it produces more fish per hour for the fisherman than anything else, unless you count fishing for sunfish. They aren’t hard to catch in the spring, because there are so many of them, and they are such an aggressive little fish. Fishermen who do not own a boat, and use the simplest, most economical fishing gear, can catch just as many crappie in the spring as anyone else.
