Applications being taken for replacement on Cuba R-2 School Board

Due to the resignation of Justin McCullough, who has moved outside the school district, the Crawford County R-2 School Board is currently seeking applications for a member to take McCullough’s seat and fulfill the remainder of his unexpired term of office.

Letters of application for the open board seat may be submitted to the superintendent’s office no later than noon on Friday, June 13. A board committee will screen the applications and select no more than three applicants to undergo an interview process by the full board.

Candidate interviews and the subsequent board vote on the matter will take place in open session of a special meeting to be announced at a later date. The remaining members of the school board will choose the new member by a majority vote at the special meeting.

McCullough’s seat will remain filled by a replacement board member until the next annual school board election is held in April.
