Cabaret coming to Rolla theater

Ozark Actors Theatre is building on the well-received Cabaret performances of the summer of 2013 by introducing a Summer Series of Cabaret, presented by our guest performers. This Cabaret Series will be three original, intimate evenings of incredible song so you can get to know the OAT stars in a completely new way!

The first Cabaret performance will be on Monday, June 23rd at 7:30pm, featuring the talents of Hannah Bagnall and Brittany Proia. Act One will be Hannah Bagnall in "Learning Love": an intimate hour of music as Hannah explores the ways to love and be loved. This Act will feature Hannah performing a selection of standards, classics and contemporary Broadway hits with such favorites as “Cry Me a River”, “Call Me Irresponsible”, “Toxic”, “It’s a Lovely Day Today” and many others. She will also be playing the ukulele. Hannah has been performing on the OAT stage since she was 11 years old. You may recognize her as the Saloon Owner in The Comedy of Errors, Gilmer in Godspell, Prudie Cupp in Pump Boys and Dinettes or the indomitable Jo March in Little Women: The Musical
In Act Two, Brittany Proia presents "Blame it on the Summer Night." Join Brittany as she sings through her favorite songs of the seasons. This Act will feature songs from classical musical theatre to today with favorites such as “Summertime” and “I Want You Back”, songs from shows such as Showboat and South Pacific and by songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Sam Smith. Brittany was last seen as the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods last season and is Adriana in The Comedy of Errors and the Drowsy Chaperone herself in The Drowsy Chaperone at OAT in August.
The ladies will be joined by special guests Blane Pressler, Lydia Bagnall and Becca Hanauer, all while accompanied by Musical Director Dave Maglione.

The second of the Cabaret Series will be on Monday, July 14th featuring the original music of Maglione and Ruiz, Blane Pressler, who will be performing in OAT’s July production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, plus an appearance by special guest Taylor Louderman.
