Donald Lee Midyett
Donald Lee Midyett of St. James, Missouri was born November 17, 1938 in Viburnum, Missouri to Marcus Ray and Lulie Ann Turnbough Midyett and passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 1 day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Lulie Midyett; three brothers, Alva, Archie and Elvey Midyett; two sisters, Alta Davis and husband Jake and Helen Ruth Midyett; and brothers-in-law, Clifford Bishop and Joseph Gilson.
He is survived by three sisters, Alice Bishop of Anthony’s Mills, Missouri, Shirley Raines and husband Larry of Wright City, Missouri and Patsy Gilson of Hillsboro, Missouri; and sister-in-law, Georgia Midyett of Nixa, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
When the family would all get together Donald would love to sing “Gathering Flowers for the Master’s Bouquet.”
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Bro. John Harris officiating. Special music of “I’ll Fly Away” and “Gathering Flowers” was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery at Viburnum, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Michael Davis II, Kyle Davis, Dean Bishop, Larry Raines, Jr., Roger Eads and Dale Bishop.
