David Edgar of Cuba, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday, July 4, 1944 to Eldon and Delores M. Perry Edgar and passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 27 days.
He served his country honorably for six years in the United States Army Reserves.
He was united in marriage to Anita Pullam on October 9, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
He worked at the Ford automobile plant in Hazelwood as a Security Guard for 35 years and was a member of the Local UAW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Delores Edgar; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Mathews.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Edgar of Cuba, Missouri; children, Tim (Liza) Edgar and Kim (friend Tom Auxier) Hill of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law, David Pullam and Mike (Susan) Pullam, all of Dexter, Missouri; sister-in-law, Gwen Hart of Columbia, Missouri; aunt, Ruth McCollough of Dexter, Missouri; grandchildren, Steffen, Kory, Abigail, Story and Mira Edgar, Brett Benton, and Tyler Hill; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Burial at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
