Volunteers needed to make 50,000 meals

On August 23, an organization called Change This World (CTW) will be at the St. James Community Hall in Nelson Hart Park to pack 50,000 meals. Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers from the community will join together to package balanced meals for those suffering from hunger around the world.

Volunteers from businesses, schools, churches, and other groups will package nutritionally balanced meals throughout the event. CTW will provide the raw ingredients, assembly lines, and packaging.
Volunteers will be responsible with packing the food for distribution. CTW provides holistic care to the communities where the food is distributed. CTW has facilitated the packaging of more than nine million meals and provided more than 13,000 children and families with a daily meal for an entire year.
Hunger is the number one health risk factor in the world. In one day, 23,000 people die due to hunger and malnutrition, 16,000 of those are children. CTW has made a mission of feeding everyone in need by using community volunteerism to solve the hunger problem.
