Leathers leaving county to join staff at ECC
Mardy Leathers attended his last Crawford County Commission meeting as county clerk on Tuesday. He will leave the position officially on September 1 and take over duties for his new job as Executive Director for the Center for Workforce Development with East Central College.

Voter turnout was 25 percent at primary
Not even 25 percent of registered voters in Crawford County came out to vote at the August Primary election held at the beginning of the month. But, it was actually a pretty decent turnout for a primary, according to the County Clerk’s office. While it didn’t set any records, it was above the 15 to 18 percent turnout often seen at this election.
