Commission approves tax levies

    During the week of September 4, Phelps County commissioners:
    • Held a public hearing for the adoption of the 2014 tax levies for the County Revenue and Road and Bridge Funds. Commissioners approved County Revenue Levy at $0.1537 per $100 of assessed valuation and the Road and Bridge Levy at $0.0940 per $100 of assessed valuation.

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – A new Soldier for Life initiative will benefit Soldiers separating from the military and employers wishing to hire veterans. Under the Army wide initiative, transitioning Soldiers have the opportunity to apply for internships and apprenticeships while still on active duty.
