Woodland and Glade Restoration Workshop to be held Aug. 21 near Sullivan
Landowners who want to improve glades and woodlands on their property will have the opportunity to learn from natural resource experts at a Woodland and Glade Restoration Workshop scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5-8 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Missouri Department of Conservation's (MDC) Long Ridge Conservation Area north of Sullivan in Franklin County.

You can help clean up the Meramec River on August 23-24
This month, The Open Space Council will once again organize thousands of volunteers to restore the Meramec River Basin for its annual Operation Clean Stream project. This yearly event remains one of the largest and longest ongoing of its kind in America. Last year, over 2,000 area volunteers offered their time and labor in an ongoing effort to rid over 500 miles of the Meramec River and its four tributaries of trash and debris.
