Wildcats take GVC Tournament title with 7-2 win over Cards

With a pair of wins over Vienna and Steelville last week, the Cuba Wildcats captured the Gasconade Valley Conference Tournament championship that was held at Community Park in Steelville. The boys had gotten a first-round bye and only needed just two wins to take first in the tourney bracket.

CMS teams run in Hermann Relays

Both the Cuba Middle School girls and boys track teams placed ninth in the Hermann Relays held on Friday, April 11. Owensville won the boys meet by a wide margin, with Washington taking the girls meet.

Golf team second behind Blair Oaks at Osage

Cuba golfers participated in a meet at Osage Country Club in Linn on March 31. Three teams were in the event, and the CHS team finished second.

Baseball Cats blow out Jays

The Cuba Wildcats made quick work of their visiting opponents from Viburnum on Monday. Cuba feasted on Blue Jay pitching, exposing them for 25 runs in just four-and-a-half innings of play.

CHS finishes second in Houston tournament

The first pitch of spring baseball for the Cuba Wildcats took place last week in Houston, as the Cats took part in a four-team tournament. Cuba finished second in the tournament, winning two games and losing one.

CHS track season off to a wet start

Bad weather washed out the first week of scheduled track and field meets for the Cuba team. Track runners hoped to get their first home meet in this week, amid the stormy weather of Missouri’s spring.
