Orange Crush drop a pair of games to Cuba

    The St James Orange Crush dropped two games against Cuba in the summer softball league last week.  The varsity battled right up to the end only losing by one run, 6-5. The JV was almost as close, with the Crush losing 7-5.

Free athletic physical dates set

    Forest City Family Practice is once again providing free athletic physicals to all St. James student/athletes. The free physicals will be administered only on July 24 and August 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Lady Tigers do well at shootout

    The Lady Tiger varsity, JV and eighth grade teams all took first in last weekend’s Licking Shootout. Coach Terry Wells was excited, saying, “Lady Tigers take the top spot in the Licking shootout at Rolla by going 7-0 on the weekend. Love the ball movement and team play.”

    The Lady Tigers of John F. Hodge High School will have a new soccer coach for the 2015 season. K.C. Curler has been hired for the position.

    Coach Brad Purvis and the Orange Crush had their first summer softball games against Crocker last week. The Crush played varsity and JV with both games going to Crocker.
