Lady Tigers win Cuba tourney

    The Lady Tigers took first in the Cuba Softball Tournament Saturday, defeating Dixon 7-3 and Borgia 8-1. The day started with a defeat against Cuba in overtime 7-6 and then turned around in the next game two games.

Soccer team earns first varsity victories

    The St. James Tigers soccer team earned two wins, but also had two losses last week. The week started rough with a loss to Sullivan 3-2 and Union defeated the Tigers 3-0 in a short game due to lightning. Then the Tigers got a 5-0 win against Calvary Lutheran in Jefferson City before Dixon came to St. James on Friday the Tigers won 1-0.

Tigers excel at first cross country meet

    Alex Auxier, Leslie Perona and the varsity high school boys’ team each won at the first cross country meet of the year Monday in Bourbon. The cross country teams had their first scheduled meet canceled last week in Sullivan due to the weather.

Tigers fall to Dutchmen in overtime, 29-28

    The St. James Tigers varsity football team took a rough loss in Owensville last Friday night as they fell to the Dutchmen 29-28 in overtime. St. James had led the game 22-14 with just 2:38 to play.

Football Tigers find tough competition against Hermann - PHOTO GALLERY

    The varsity St. James Tigers football team ran into a buzz saw in the Hermann Bearcats Friday night. Some early miscues, a strong Hermann running game and a poor performance through the air for the Tigers led to a 52-20 home loss for St. James.

    The John F. Hodge High School boys’ soccer team dropped its only game last week to Laquey 5-0. The Tigers just didn’t show the power and potential they had in their first two games.
