Woodystock 2014 will close out its month-long celebration of the legendary American musician and folk troubadour Woody Guthrie this weekend at Gallery Zeke in Steelville. Woodystock has recognized both Guthrie and his musical legacy with Saturday night folk music events at the gallery throughout the month of April.
The Steelville Arts Council will welcome the 2014 Steelville Clay Festival to Gallery Zeke next month. An exhibition centered around the ceramic arts will be on view Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of May.
There are two weekends left in April of Woodystock 2014, the Steelville Arts Council’s month-long celebration of musician Woody Guthrie and traditional, American folk music.
A cruise in is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at the Missouri Veteran Home. The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the veterans home and will include a Cruisin’ with the Veterans at 2 p.m., where participants can take a resident veteran for a ride through St. James.
Legendary folk musician and songwriter Woody Guthrie will be paid tribute throughout the month of April as the Steelville Arts Council celebrates with the Woodystock folk festival every Saturday night at Gallery Zeke.
