American Legion Auxiliary Post 81 News

    A small, but enthusiastic group of members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 81 of Bourbon met at the Legion Post on Tuesday evening, January 20.  Treasurer Francie Rohrer conducted the business meeting.

Bourbon Community Center receives grant

    The Bourbon Area Community Center received a grant of $1,000 from the Bourbon Community Foundation to help with the new lighting project at the center.  Foundation President, Mary Heywood presented the check to Barb Condren at the center last week.

Former city employee charged with stealing utility payments

A former employee at Bourbon City Hall has been charged with monetary theft. Authorities believe she unlawfully took payments made by city utility customers and then “cooked the books” to avoid any signs of malfeasance.

School board members being recognized

     Missourians benefit every day from the dedicated energies and countless hours devoted by a group of more than 3,600 men and women in every community across the state. These public servants are elected by local constituents and do not receive compensation for their tireless efforts. These men and women are the local school board members of Missouri.
