Local voters heading to polls on Tuesday
The August 5 primary will see several races for county and state offices, a proposed tax to fund the library and a proposed sales tax to fund Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) projects for the next 10 years.
Amendment 7 could bring $3.87 million to Phelps County
In addition to many Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) projects in the Meramec Region, including four in Phelps County, Constitutional Amendment 7 would also provide an estimated $27 million distributed to cities and $27 million distributed to counties throughout the state over a 10-year time frame to assist with transportation funding at the local level, if the measure passes by Missouri voters.
Several amendments on Tuesday’s ballot
Phelps County voters will have five different proposed amendments to the Missouri Constitution to consider when they head to the polls to cast their ballots next Tuesday. Three Rivers Publishing offers voters this brief overview of each amendment proposal and any arguments for or against.
