Cats win another district championship

For the third consecutive year, the Cuba Wildcat baseball team wears the district championship crown. The Wildcats won their district playoff tournament last week with a pair of wins against Licking and Dixon.

Wildcats run at state track meet, fail to get out of prelims

Members of the Cuba Wildcat track team competed at the state championship meet in Jefferson City last weekend but failed to make it out of the preliminary event runs.

Two Wildcat golfers make all-district

The Cuba Wildcat golf team played in its district meet on Tuesday, April 30 at Redfield Golf Club. The Cats fell short of qualifying for sectionals as a team, taking fifth place on the leaderboard out of ten teams in competition, but two Cuba players did earn all-district recognition.

Fleming, UMKC to face #1 seed in NCAA tournament

Grant Fleming, concluding his final collegiate tennis season at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will face the #1 seed UCLA Bruins on Friday, May 10, in Westwood, California. UMKC earned its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament by once again winning the Summit League Tournament.

CHS track athletes get through to sectionals

The Cuba varsity girls finished in a fourth-place tie with Steelville at the Class 2, District 3 track and field meet held on May 4, with both teams scoring 54 points. The Wildcat boys tallied 58 points and finished sixth as a team. Fatima swept the top spots at the meet.
