Kickoff return good for $300,000 in vehicles at local Ford dealership

    Hutcheson Ford held a 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII last week that resulted in 12 customers getting a complete refund on their purchases, totaling more than $300,000.

Garden sponsors sought

    Changes to the community garden are coming this year as its enters its fifth season. The Community Garden Committee will be seeking more community involvement to adopt a bed and care for it throughout the growing season.

Do Zumba for grads

    The St. James Project Graduation committee will host a Zumba-thon on February 8 in the Middle School gym. From 1 to 3 p.m., participants will be doing Zumba to raise money for the project graduation activities at the end of the school year.

Cops will work at Country Bob’s

    St. James police officers will be waiting tables at Country Bob’s Café on February 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. to raise money for the Special Olympics of Missouri. Country Bob’s will have an open buffet for dinner and officers will be working throughout the evening.

Kimerles earn lifetime award

    Richard and Jo Ann Kimerle were awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the St. James Chamber of Commerce on Friday night. It is the first time since 2005 that a couple won the award. The couple was presented the award at Matt’s Steakhouse in front of fellow community members celebrating 2013 accomplishments.

Citizen of Year is Hildebrand

    The St. James Chamber of Commerce recognized Sue Hildebrand as its Citizen of the Year on Friday night. Hildebrand is an active coach at the St. James School District and volunteers her time to help kids stay active.
