Children needed for summer reading fun

    Calling all children! Ozark Regional Library's 2014 Summer Reading Program is looking for kids of all ages who are ready to have fun and learn about some of the mysteries of the world! Join the Youth Department this summer as kids "Fizz Boom Read" with science-based programs for kids up to age 18.


Rosati victim says suspect killed his friend

• Victim, who is suffering from cancer, questioned in order to preserve evidence

   The man who survived the April Rosati shooting that resulted in his friend’s death provided evidence in the case today in depositions held by Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney Bill Seay, despite some objections by defense attorneys.

    The Crawford County Farm Bureau and Crawford County Extension Council will host at Meet the Candidates Night in July in an effort to better acquaint voters with the candidates that are running in the August primaries.


Rape charges filed against Cuba man

    A Cuba man has been charged with burglary and rape after an incident that allegedly took place on June 2. Justin L. Jasper, 31, of Cuba, stands charged with the unclassified felony of rape in the first degree and with class B felony burglary in the first degree in connection with the events of that night.

Murder suspects waive hearings

    Both of the people charged with the shooting death of a Rosati man have now waived their preliminary hearings and their cases have been bound over to the Crawford County Circuit Court.
