A 60-year-old Leasburg man was killed in a one-car accident on Route MM on Thursday, March 20. The crash took place 1.5 miles south of Leasburg on Route MM, about 2:50 a.m. that morning.

Jury says Bourbon police officer was justified in shooting suspect during arrest

A six-man jury ruled Tuesday afternoon that the police shooting of an unarmed man involved in a high-speed chase north of Bourbon last week, was justified. The man died at the scene, after being shot three times by the police officer attempting to apprehend him.

Bourbon Drugs reopens

    Bourbon’s hometown pharmacy, Bourbon Drugs, located at 386 E. Pine Street, in downtown Bourbon, has reopened.  The pharmacy is still the same pharmacy, not corporate, with many of the familiar faces of previous employees still working.
