Burglary suspected caught in Kansas, several others also face charges

    At least five arrests for other crimes were made during the search for Corey Neff, 26, of Leasburg, a man wanted on burglary charges in Crawford County. Sheriff Randy Martin reported on Friday, November 7 that Neff had been apprehended in Kansas and will be extradited to Missouri to face his charges here.

Extension to offer strength-training class for seniors

The University of Missouri Extension is partnering with the Greentree Christian Church in Rolla to offer Stay Strong, Stay Healthy - a strength training program to help men and women increase strength, flexibility and balance. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial for health. Building strength promotes quality of life and independence, especially for adults over 50.

MU Extension and USDA hosting Farm Bill meeting

The 2014 Farm Bill contains several provisions that enable farmers and landowners to make decisions regarding their involvement in federal farm programs.  Landowners will have the opportunity to reallocate base acres on individual farms as well as update yield information that is used to determine some farm program payments.
