Kreter appointed full time at Peoples Bank

    Dawn Kreter has been appointed by Peoples Bank as a full-time employee at the Bourbon office.  She will continue to serve customers at the teller line along with opening new accounts.  She has worked for Peoples Bank as a part time teller since August 2010.

Basket raffle winners announced

    The Teddy Bear Backpack Club in Bourbon recently held a Basket Raffle Fundraiser.  A total of four baskets were raffled including a small, medium, large and giant basket.  All baskets were themed “The Night Before Christmas.”  The giant basket contained a handmade fleece blanket crafted by Teddy Binkholder, founder of the organization, who also drew the winning names.

Leathers gives presentation on retail development strategies

    Local government leaders representing the communities within Crawford County gathered Monday to hear a presentation on retail development strategies offered by Mardy Leathers, president of Cuba Development Group (CDG) and Crawford County clerk. Representatives from the cities of Steelville and Cuba, Crawford County, and other local organizations came together to discuss possibilities for the region.
