VB girls fall to Steelville in districts

A strong year for Cuba High School volleyball came to a disappointing end last Tuesday with the Lady Wildcats failing to advance out of the Class 2, District 8 semifinals. The Cuba girls were knocked off by the Lady Cardinals in a battle between two evenly-matched teams.

Three from CHS, two from BHS earn all-district honors

Alexis Price was named to the Class 2, District 8 girls all-district volleyball first team. She was one of three Lady Wildcats named to the all-district squad, but the only player to make the first team.

CHS girls are conference champs

The Cuba High School girls team finished first and the boys team third at the Oct. 17 conference cross country meet, which was held at Belle City Park.

Cross country girls take second at Belle

The Cuba High School Wildcat girls finished second and the boys third in cross country racing at Belle on Sept. 25. The Lady Cats were second only to Owensville, and the Wildcat boys took third behind first-place Linn and second-place St. Clair.

Despite lopsided loss to Hogan Prep, football Cats will host playoff game

Even though the final score was lopsided in last weekend’s Wildcat football loss to Hogan Prep Charter School, there is still a silver lining to the clouds: The Cuba Wildcats will host a district playoff game at the Field of Pride this Friday night.

CMS seventh grade wins first two games

Cuba Middle School boys basketball got the season started last week with home games against Vienna and road games at Bland. The eighth graders split their games, but the seventh grade boys won both.
