Cross country girls second at Belle

The Cuba High School Wildcat girls finished second and the boys third in cross country racing at Belle on Sept. 25. The Lady Cats were second only to Owensville, and the Wildcat boys took third behind first-place Linn and second-place St. Clair.

Farace knocks in winning run against Vienna

Madison Farace had three hits, including the game-winning RBI single in the eighth inning, to give the Cuba Lady Wildcats a 7-6 victory over Vienna on Senior Night for the softball girls.

Girls win cross country meet at St. James

The Cuba varsity girls finished in the top spot in team standings at the St. James Invitational cross country meet on Oct. 1. It was a big team victory for the Lady Wildcats, as they finished ahead of Steelville, New Haven, Union, and Dixon on the St. James course.

The Wildcat football team now sports a 3-4 record, after Cuba held off the Lincoln Cardinals 46-38.

Volleyball girls to host Pink Game on Monday

The Third Annual Cuba High School Volleyball Pink Game will take place on Monday, October 6 at Mike Voigt Gymnasium, when the Cuba Lady Wildcats host the Steelville Lady Cardinals in a conference volleyball match. Proceeds raised at the Pink Game will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Wildcats pound Liberty 74-7

Sometimes it’s just your night and everything seems to go right. It did for the Cuba Wildcats at Liberty (Wentzville) High School last Friday, when they trounced the Eagles 74-7 in a one-sided affair. The Wildcats picked up their second win of the season—and their first road victory—while setting new school football records in total yardage and single game scoring. The Eagles dropped to 0-5 for the year.
