St. James puts a hurt on Lady Cats

The Cuba Lady Wildcats hosted the St. James Lady Tigers in a regular season, and it was a one-sided affair decidedly in favor of the St. James girls.

CHS girls take sixth at Sullivan

The Cuba Lady Cats spent part of December playing in the Second Annual Peoples Bank Holiday Classic basketball tournament. The competition was stiff, and the Cuba girls finished their tournament with one win out of three games, finishing sixth out of eight teams.

Cardinals win baseball tournament in Bismarck

    The Steelville High School varsity baseball team went 4-0 last week to improve its record to 7-3 this spring. Three of those victories came in the Bismarck baseball tournament, which the Cardinals won.

New basketball districts are announced

    The Missouri State High School Activities Association has announced new basketball districts for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons. Steelville High School remains in Class 3, District 9.

SMS teams win tournaments-PHOTO GALLERY

    The Steelville Middle School volleyball teams finished their season last week with a bang. The eighth-grade girls won the Salem tournament and the seventh graders finished an undefeated season by winning their own tourney on Saturday.

Post-season honors earned by SHS players

    One Steelville player has been named to this year Class 3, District 9 all-district girls’ basketball team as selected by the district’s coaches. Three SHS players have also been named to the sportswriters all-district squads.
