Lady Tigers do well at shootout

    The Lady Tiger varsity, JV and eighth grade teams all took first in last weekend’s Licking Shootout. Coach Terry Wells was excited, saying, “Lady Tigers take the top spot in the Licking shootout at Rolla by going 7-0 on the weekend. Love the ball movement and team play.”

New girls’ soccer coach named

    The Lady Tigers of John F. Hodge High School will have a new soccer coach for the 2015 season. K.C. Curler has been hired for the position.

Orange Crush drops first two games

    Coach Brad Purvis and the Orange Crush had their first summer softball games against Crocker last week. The Crush played varsity and JV with both games going to Crocker.

Summer baseball squad still seeking first victory

    Summer baseball in St. James has gotten off to a slow start as the high school Expos dropped six games. The first games of the summer went to Cuba, two to Crocker and two to Waynesville. Summer ball is about skills practice and teamwork so new faces are in new positions.

Fane all-state in 800 meters

    St. James sophomore Parker Fane is an all-state track star. She finished fifth in the 800 meters at last weekend’s Class 3 State Track and Field Championship in Jefferson City.
