Wrestlers bring home two first-place finishes from Owensville tourney

    The St. James Tigers varsity wrestling squad earned some more hardware last week. This time the Tigers earned two first-place finishes at the Owensville tournament.

Wrestling Tigers win Park Hills tournament

    The St. James High School Tigers wrestling squad just finished an awesome week individually and as a team. The team won against four teams in duals and then took first place in the Park Hills Tournament and Danny McCarthy passed Nick DeClue’s school record of 127 career wins.

Varsity boys hold off Bulldogs to get third win of the season

    The St. James varsity Tigers defeated Dixon 71-45 on January 9 to earn their third victory of the season. The Tigers will be hosting their annual tournament next week.

SJMS boys earn two victories over Salem

    Both St. James Middle School boys’ basketball teams defeated Salem in the first game of the New Year. The eighth grade won by 20 points, 51-31, and seventh grade won 36-27.

Sports Club hosts boys’ tourney

    St. James youth sports had another busy weekend. The St. James Sports Club sponsored its annual boys’ basketball tournament for fourth, fifth and sixth grades last weekend using both the high school gyms and the middle school.

Lady Tigers earn wins over two quality teams

    Two resounding wins last week brought the top-ranked Lady Tigers to 12-0 on the season. The St. James girls went to Licking January 5 and took the win 62-30 and this past Saturday they traveled to St. Louis and defeated St. Joseph’s Academy 72-54.
