Tigers will have busy summer

    Just because school is out, that doesn’t mean St. James Tigers athletes are enjoying some leisure time. Most high school athletes will stay busy throughout the summer.

Soccer season comes to a close with 1-0 loss

    The Lady Tigers ended their season at the first game in the district tournament last week, losing to Belle 1-0 in a hard-fought game.

Twelve Tigers advance to sectional meet

    John F. Hodge High School will be sending 12 athletes to this Saturday’s sectional track meet after they finished in the top four of last weekend’s Class 3, District 5 meet at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. The Lady Tigers had three first-place finishes at the district meet.

Lady Tigers soccer team closes out regular season

    St. James seniors Taima Rodgers and Jaqi Rosas both scored in their last home game of the season on May 12  against Owensville. It was a great way to start senior night festivities.

Hayes reaches state golf finals

    St. James golfer Colin Hayes moved on to state completion at Freemont Hills this week after last week’s sectional tournament. Along with Hayes, Conner Bauman competed in the sectional tourney.

Tigers win open game in district baseball tourney

    St. James varsity baseball (8-14) defeated School of the Osage (6-15) in the first round of district play 4-0 in Salem on Saturday. The Tigers were knocked out of the tourney on Monday, however, falling to Sullivan 3-1.
