Two seniors will anchor varsity basketball Tigers this season

    The start of the John F. Hodge High School boys’ basketball season is now less than one week away. The Tigers will officially tip of the 2014-15 season at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Fatima.

Winter sports set to begin

    The wait is over. The snow has convinced us that winter is here and it is just in time for the winter sports to begin. On Friday, the wrestling Tigers will hold their wrestle-offs in the old high school gym at 5 p.m. Then on Saturday, both the girls’ and boys’ high school basketball teams will be holding a soap scrimmage.

    The St. James Project Graduation Committee will be hosting a Tuff Puff Volleyball game at 7 p.m. Friday at the St. James Middle School.

SJMS boys’ basketball teams will tip off the season next week in Steelville

    St. James Middle School boys’ basketball is getting ready for the first game on November 24 in Steelville. Eighth-grade Coach Bri Hodge has several returning players and “is looking forward to an exciting season.”

    Two St. James Lady Tigers competed at the state cross country championships on Saturday and one of them earned all-state honors.

Post-season awards presented to Lady Tigers volleyball teams

    The volleyball Lady Tigers finished off their season with an awards banquet last week. Coach Julie Guese and assistant coach Meredith Muenks thanked the parents and community for their support throughout the season and gave out the awards.
