Money, Bradshaw named to all-FRC football first team

    Six St. James Tigers have been named to this year’s Four-Rivers Conference (FRC) all-conference football teams. Two of those were named to the first squads.

Tigers fall to Sullivan in OT at district tourney

    Three Tigers, Mason Ragland, Drew Lahman and Austin Wachter, were named to the all-district soccer team. St. James hosted the Class 2, District 10 soccer tournament last week.

Soccer players honored after first varsity season

    The St. James High School boys’ soccer team held an awards banquet at the middle school last week.  The new team showed many strengths during its first full varsity season.

SJMS girls close out basketball season with wins - PHOTO GALLERY

    The St. James Middle School girls’ basketball teams ended their season with a win for both seventh and eighth grades in Steelville last Thursday. The eighth grade defeated the Cardinals 33-12 to end the season with a record of 9-7 and the seventh grade won 20-17.

Softball awards given

    The outstanding 2014 season that concluded with a 19-8 record for the St. James Lady Tigers has come to a close with even more impressive news. For the first time in Coach Brad Purvis’ memory, two of the Lady Tigers have been selected to the all-region team.

Tigers fall to Salem, finish 3-7 - PHOTO GALLERY

    St. James quarterback Brett Karnes threw for two touchdowns, ran for another and caught a touchdown pass against Salem last Friday night, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers to pull out the victory. St. James fell at home to Salem 50-27 and ended the season with a record of 3-7.
