Methodists to host free trivia night March 28

    If a little mental challenge and fun among friends makes you happy, the Methodists are hosting a free Trivia Night on March 28 at 6:30 pm in the Cuba United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome. The family-friendly event is open to beginners or experienced players. Individuals or teams are welcome to join in the evening’s fun.


Spring Smokin’ BBQ competition being held in Ellington May 9-10

    The Ellington Chamber of Commerce, Royal Oak Charcoal Inc., and the St Louis BBQ Society are excited to announce this years BBQ event. The Spring Smokin’ BBQ Competition will kick off on Friday evening, May 9 at 7 p.m. with the judging held Saturday at noon.  This event is a part of the 31st Annual Spring Fever Days festival in Ellington, Missouri, set for May 9 & 10.


Salem First Baptist Church holding annual Easter Pageant

    The Salem First Baptist Church Celebration Choir and cast welcome everyone to attend the upcoming presentations of “The Easter Pageant.” Opening night for the 90-minute production is set for Friday, April 11. Four other presentations are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13 and then again the following weekend April 18 and 19. Each presentation begins at 7 p.m.


CAC bringing SH-Boom to Cuba

    On Saturday, April 5, 2014, the Cuba Arts Council will be bringing back the ever popular musical group, SH-BOOM, The Final Tour to Cuba!  SH-Boom will be retiring at the end of this year, so this may be your last time to see them in this area!  They will be rocking the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at Highway UU and Route 66.  Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the music will begin at 8 p.m. There will be a cash only bar available, and hot dogs, snacks, and soft drinks will be available for sale.  Proceeds from this event will help CAC "Bring the Arts" to our community.

    New Life of Hope Church, located at 72 Shamrock Drive in Sullivan, is pleased to announce a gospel concert featuring live music by the Barry Jones Family and emceed by Duane Garren.
