88 graduate from Cuba High

Yet another Cuba High School class has surpassed the trials and tribulations of being a high school student and has crossed the finish line. Eighty-eight seniors crossed the platform to receive their diplomas on Saturday night and officially become CHS alumni.

MoDOT seeking input on 20-year highway plan

MoDOT is seeking input from the public in putting together a 20-year transportation plan. Preston Kramer of the Missouri Department of Transportation addressed the city council at their May 7 meeting to say he needs feedback from both the city and its citizens as future highway projects statewide are compiled and prioritized.

Pathways to break ground on new housing complex

Thanks to housing assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Pathways Community Health will break ground on Crawford Commons, a 14-unit housing complex for very low income persons with disabilities in Cuba. The ground breaking is set for 10 a.m., May 22 at Martin and Eldon streets in Cuba.

Department of Economic Development announces expansion of Cuba electrical product manufacturer, expected creation of 47 new jobs

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that a company that produces high quality electrical products will be expanding its manufacturing operations in Cuba. The expansion by Meramec Electrical Products will consist of a $5.7 million capital investment that is expected to create 47 new full-time jobs.
