School district continues to make facility improvements
Great things continue to happen in the Bourbon School District. World Day of Prayer planned
This year's World Day of Prayer service will be held Friday, March 7 at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon, followed by a covered dish luncheon. Each year the service is written by a different country and helps us understand the people and their quest for peace. This year the World Day of Prayer Egypt Committee invites us to search out "streams in the desert", finding living water in the world. Exploring the story of Jesus' conversation with a Samaritan woman at the well, we are called to bridge those things that divide us and to find unexpected results. Advocacy opportunities emerge with such things as simple as clean water, education, intergenerational and multifaith dialogue.
