23 Patrol Employees Honored At Annual Awards Ceremony
Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, would like to congratulate the 23 employees honored at the Patrol's annual awards and The MASTERS banquet recently. Held at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia, family, friends, and members of The MASTERS (Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society) gathered to honor the heroes of 2013.
Low-water bridge study completed
During the week of April 24, Phelps county Commissioners:
• Heard from Todd Dablemont, Benton and Associates, who appeared before the commission and presented them with the completed Bridge Engineering Assistance Program Study on 16 low-water crossings.
Property donation rejected
During the week of April 15, Phelps County commissioners:
• Heard discussion on the use of local workforce for the construction of the bridge project on Road 7050. Jennifer Jones, Missouri Department of Transportation, advised that the county will need to provide documentation showing reasonable costs in order to use local workforce. She also advised that documentation of costs will have to be provided up front in order for the county to receive reimbursement. Commissioner Gary Hicks will tour potential bridge sites for relocation and meet with property owners. The county can use in-kind labor for a 20 percent match.
