Salvation Army needs bell ringers

The Southwestern Area Salvation Army services the Cuba, Leasburg, Steelville and Cherryville area and have several red kettles out starting Thanksgiving weekend through the month of December.

Crawford County keeps 87% of the money collected to help with the needs of the citizens of the local community.
The Salvation Army helps citizens that need assistance with electric, food, pharmacy, gas, and many other needs that are brought to the organization requesting assistance. If a citizen has lost their home to fire or flood, the Salvation Army is there to help them. They are also there to help during natural disasters such as tornadoes. They assist and help to feed local firefighters and police officers during fires and other disasters.
The Salvation Army is looking for people to spend just an hour or more to help ring the bells at kettles in the area during Thanksgiving weekend and through the month of December. It is a great opportunity for those youth that need volunteer service hours for High School, 4-H clubs, FFA groups, or anyone that would like to spend some time helping the community.
