Perkins, Foster named to all-district team

           Two Steelville High School softball players have been named to the Class 2 District 3 all-district team. One was also named to the all-sectional squad.

Brown finishes 16th at state meet

            Cuba High School junior Kennedy Brown was the lone Wildcat to compete at the Class 3 state finals, which were held in Jefferson City May 27-28. She finished 16th in the shot put.

Four Cuba players named to GVC baseball team

• Two Bourbon players also honored

           Four Cuba High School players have been named to this year’s Gasconade Valley Conference all-conference baseball team by the GVC coaches. One also earned honorable mention.

Injury could hamper Snyder at state finals

The season was going magnificent for Kaiden Snyder…until the pop. That pop he felt in his leg.
Snyder, of the St. James High School boys’ track squad, has had a tremendous sophomore season this spring. In a number of his meets this season he soared to victory in all four of his events, and was expected to be a four-event state qualifier and a major threat to make the medal stand multiple times.

Davis will continue track career at Truman State

          Recent Steelville High School graduate Tyler Davis signed a letter of intent to become a member of the Truman State University track team when he heads to Kirksville this fall. He’ll go there as a Missouri state champion in the shot put.

Cardinals earn all-state honors in 10 events

           Steelville High School athletes earned all-state honors in 10 different events at the Class 2 State Track and Field Championship that was held in Jefferson City May 20-21. The Cardinals medaled in six boys events, two girls events, and two para events.
