The Steelville High School baseball team traveled to Hermann on May 17 to play in the championship game of the Class 3 District 8 tournament against Hermann. In a tight pitching contest, the Bearcats came out on top 3-0.
Two Steelville High School golfers made their way to the Missouri Class 2 State Golf Tournament, which was played at Columbia Country Club on May 16-17. Neither finished high enough to earn all-state honors.
Three members of Bourbon High School’s baseball team have earned spots on the Class 3 District 8 baseball teams. District coaches made the selections following the May 17 championship game, which was won by Hermann over Steelville 3-0.
A host of Cardinals are headed to the Class 2 state track finals after turning in top-four finishes at Saturday’s Class 2 Sectional 1 meet at Lutheran North High School in St. Louis. Steelville High School athletes won seven sectional events and set two new school records.
Steelville High School senior Lauren Davis is heading to the state track meet this week and she’ll be heading to the track at Evangel University in Springfield after that.
The Steelville High School baseball team reached the finals of the Class 3 District 8 tournament after defeating Belle in the semifinals on Saturday.
