Randazzo wins race for circuit judge

    Five Republican candidates sought the judge’s seat in Division 2 of the 42nd Judicial Circuit, which includes Crawford, Dent, Iron, Reynolds, and Wayne counties, on Tuesday. Mike Randazzo won the seat.

Vestal, Dake, Cummings win county races

    Crawford County voters chose to keep two current county officials in place at the August 4 Primary Election. A new coroner was also elected.
    The majority of local races were determined at this election, since the candidates running for office were in the same party. The Republican ballot for the August Primary included races for Crawford County Commissioner for District 1, Assessor, and Coroner.

County sees spike In COVID-19 cases

    COVID-19 cases in Crawford County jumped from 33 to 58 in one week. Numbers reported by the Crawford County Health Department (CCHD) on Monday, August 3, show an increase of 25 cases since the previous Monday, but reported the increase is not a result of one particular event or exposure location.

CCHD reports potential public exposures to COVID-19

The Crawford County Health Department has released information on places of notable potential exposures to COVID-19 in recent days.

Numbers for Thursday, July 30 as reported by the CCHD included an increase to a total of 47 confirmed cases, with 17 of those currently active, and 30 released from isolation. There have been 2,559 negative test results.
