As the Missouri General Assembly’s 2021 legislative session gets underway, Missouri Farm Bureau is focusing on issues that have long been foundational to its members’ core philosophy. After a 2020 session cut short by COVID-19, our members are optimistic that this year can produce more results for Missouri.

The unthinkable has happened. I’m pregnant. What do I do? My plans were to finish college and start my career. But I’m pregnant. How can I finish college? How can I fulfill my dreams? Do I give birth to this child that is living within me, or do I have an abortion?
On January 6, a group of American citizens surrounded the U.S. Capitol, broke a few windows and entered. The citizens went to Washington because they questioned the validity of the 2020 presidential election. For more than two months they had called for investigations into alleged election fraud; for more than two months their calls had gone unheard by their elected officials. They went to Washington to be heard…and heard they were!

Before I weigh into the main theme of this essay. I would like everyone to know that I voted a straight Democrat ticket even to the second Obama term. However, when I figured out that someone was lying, I concluded that there was something basically wrong with the philosophy of the Democratic Party.
I was offended by your cartoon in last week’s paper. Wait. Can only Democrats be offended? Hmmmm. How about your ugly behavior for four years over Trump’s election?
