Football Tigers to begin district play at St. Clair

    For a team that has lost four straight games and has just one victory on the season, no one is lining up to take on the St. James High School football squad in the win-or-go-home district tourney format. The Tigers may have more momentum entering district play than any 1-8 team in the state.

District meet this week for Tiger runners

    The St. James High School cross country team competed in the Four Rivers Conference Championship, held at the Campbell-Chapman Sports Complex in Sullivan Tuesday, Oct. 19. The Tigers did not have full teams in either the boys’ or girls’ divisions.

SJMS girls keep winning

    The St. James Middle School eighth-grade girls’ basketball team whipped Sullivan 32-2 Thursday, Oct. 21 at home.

Lady Tigers fall in district first round

    The fifth-seeded St. James Lady Tigers saw their 2021 volleyball campaign come to a close in a 25-22, 12-25, 16-25 loss to the fourth-seeded Salem Lady Tigers in the first round of the Missouri Class 3 District 9 Tournament October 21 at Strafford High School.

Tigers nearly shock unbeaten Union

    For a team grasping for victories like the St. James Tigers, there is little joy in a productive loss.
But during this time of the schedule, when teams are sharpening up for district competition, productive losses can mean something.
