The Bourbon High School track, baseball, and softball seasons have come to a close. No Warhawks qualified for the state track finals at Saturday’s sectional meet and both the baseball and softball teams lost in the first round of their district tournament.
The Bourbon High School baseball team has been seeded seventh for the Class 3 District 9 tournament, which will be held in Cuba May 10-15.
The Bourbon Middle School track teams closed out their season at the 13-team Cuba Middle School Invitational on April 29. Both squads finished ninth, while Steelville won the boys and girls meet.
The Bourbon High School boys track team will be competing in six events, including all four relays, at the sectional track meet, which will be held at South Callaway High School on Saturday. The Warhawks advanced to the sectional meet during this past Saturday’s Class 2 District 4 meet at New Haven.
The Bourbon Middle School track teams competed in a pair of meets last week. The Warhawks ran in St. Clair on April 23 and St. James on April 26.
St. Clair won both the boys and girls team title sat their home meet. The BMS boys finished fourth in a six-team field, while the girls came in fifth out of five teams.
