MRDC, SBA hosts April 24 loan workshop in St. James

    Meramec Regional Development Corporation and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are partnering to offer a small business loan workshop about resources in the area on Wednesday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at Meramec Regional Planning Commission #4 Industrial Drive, St. James. Maria Bancroft, business loans specialist with MRPC, will also present on specific programs available in the region.

Sewing machine donated

Uniquely Yours Quilt Shop donated the Husqvarna Viking Opal 650 sewing machine for a raffle at the Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild’s Quilt Show, Ozark Festival of Quilts, held October 5 and 6 at the Rolla Middle School located at 1111 Soest Road in Rolla.

Summer camps at S&T include robots, explosives, race cars

    Students of all ages can experience hands-on learning during a variety of summer camps held at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
    Campers can practice team-building and social skills while learning what it takes to have a career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Safety and security workshop planned for April 25 in Dixon

    The Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) and the Phelps County Public Housing Agency (PHA) will host a free workshop April 25 on “Safety and Security: Spotting Scammers and How to Protect Yourself” in Dixon and Vienna.

S&T psychology major is featurd speaker at Justice IS Served event

Wiping away tears while sharing her the stories of her life as a child and teenager, featured speaker Mullin Evans told the packed house at the Havener Center on the Missouri Science &Technology campus about her struggles between ages four and 13, then becoming homeless, then being placed in the foster care system.
