The power plant of the future could be smaller, highly efficient and even portable, and researchers at Missouri University of Science and Technology could play a key role in making this transformation happen.
The Phelps Health Mission Possible group is seeking donations of travel size hygiene items to benefit local school children in need.
More than 1,000 kids around Phelps County participated in this year’s Take-a-Stand against child abuse design contest.
The program, sponsored by Phelps County Bank (PCB), was open to children in grades 1-4. Students from Rolla, Newburg, Edgar Springs, St. James and St. Patrick’s School created posters in the classroom.
“The power of your light cannot be underestimated. Your light creates big, huge, jump up and down and cry wins, and small little wins you find in the face of sorrow. We want to celebrate them all and continue to pass our light to others. That’s what it’s all about,” commented Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of South Central Missouri board of directors president Becky Smith.
