Steelville Christmas Parade Info
This year’s Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Steelville Tourism Committee, will take place on Main Street on Saturday, December 16 at 5 p.m.
The event will begin with a half mile “Ugly Sweater Dash.” The winner will receive a ribbon and their sweater, along with their picture, will be displayed in the window of the Yadkin Creek Fudge Shop. Cost to enter the dash is only $5.
The theme for the parade is “A Steelville Country Christmas.” Since it will take place at night, the more lights, the merrier! Families, individuals, businesses and organizations are welcome to enter.
Participants are asked not to dress as Santa, or to have him on any floats, as he will be riding at the end of the parade. Participants who wish to dispense any items during the parade must do so in a non-hazardous manner. No “hard throwing” of items will be allowed.
Decorated side-by-sides and golf carts will be allowed with permission obtained from Police Chief Mike Sherman. ATVs will not be permitted. Parade entries of any kind must be registered.
Line-up for the parade is at 4:30 p.m., and it will begin promptly at 5 p.m.
Entry forms may be found on the Steelville Tourism Committee’s Facebook page. Completed forms may be dropped off at the Steelville Police Department. Interested parties may also call Chrissie Sherman at 636-358-1120, Angie Green at 573-205-1259, or Faith Whittaker at 573-253-3995 to register.
